Hello video games fans and (e)football enthusiasts! Your favourite football game is back with a new name and even more new features, so many of us are waiting for eSport FC 24.
Here are 6 official, confirmed news items for FC 24:
Euro 2024 in career mode
Firstly, a major and unprecedented innovation has been confirmed for Career Mode: the arrival of Euro 2024. For the first time, you’ll be able to experience this major continental competition in the game. This heralds the arrival of promotional cards in Ultimate Team and perhaps even a special Euro mode. What’s more, this Euro 2024 will be taking place in Germany, which could give rise to specific events in the game.
Bayern Munich and Barcelona stadiums will not be available
Unfortunately, not all the news is so exciting. Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena and FC Barcelona’s Camp Nou will not be included in FC 24. These two iconic stadiums, which are part of football history, will therefore be absent from the game this year. This is a major blow for fans of these two clubs.
Napoli without an official licence
Third, and by no means least, Napoli football club will not be licensed on FC 24. This means that there will be no official Napoli logo, jersey or stadium in the game. However, the players and their names will remain unchanged.
Reshaping the players
Let’s change course with some cooler news. Several players have been remodelled or modelled for the first time in FC 24. Among them is Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson Moraes, whose virtual likeness will be much improved.
Maradona still missing
Unfortunately, football legend Diego Maradona, considered by many to be one of the greatest players of all time, will still not be appearing in FC 24. A disappointment for many fans who were hoping to see him make a comeback.
Converting FIFA points from Fifa 23 to FC 24
Last but not least, it will be possible to transfer and convert your FIFA points from FC 23 to FC 24. This is major news, as it suggests that all the resources you accumulated in FC 23 will not be lost with the launch of the new opus.
Be warned, however, that the conversion will only be possible within the same console family. If you play on Xbox Series X, you won’t be able to transfer your points to a PlayStation 5. What’s more, this operation is not reversible. Once you’ve converted your points, you won’t be able to recover them in FC 23.
These six pieces of information give us a glimpse of what FC 24 will be like, with its new features, disappointments and confirmations. Don’t forget that the game will be available on 22 September, for those who have pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition, with 7 days’ early access.
